Vertex Solution Architect with SAP Expertise

Columbia, MD (Remote)

6+ months contract

Job Description:

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and design tax solutions that integrate seamlessly with SAP systems. Develop architecture blueprints, technical designs, and implementation plans.
• Lead the implementation of Vertex tax technology solutions within SAP landscapes. Configure Vertex software to align with client requirements, ensuring accurate tax calculations and compliance with local regulations.
• Design and implement integrations between Vertex and SAP modules, third-party systems, and external tax authorities. Develop custom interfaces and workflows to automate tax-related processes.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle. Mentor developers and consultants on best practices for Vertex and SAP integration.
• Develop test cases and conduct thorough testing of tax solutions to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance. Work closely with QA teams to resolve any issues and ensure a smooth deployment.
• Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and training materials. Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs, providing expert advice, and delivering high-quality solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor on tax technology matters.
• Stay uptodate on regulatory changes related to tax compliance. Identify opportunities to enhance existing solutions and propose innovative approaches to address clientchallenges.
• Thorough vertex technicall knowledge, configuration on Vertex Cloud, Integrations and SAP configurations and enhancements
