PETADATA is currently hiring for the position of " Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)" for one of their clients.

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong background in core Java, Selenium, API testing, SQL, and familiarity with Java development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automation testing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, and developing scalable and maintainable automated testing frameworks tailored to the financial domain.

Lead the implementation and maintenance of automated test suites using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and other relevant tools and technologies.

Conduct SQL queries to validate data integrity and execute backend testing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test automation opportunities and define automation requirements.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing of financial software applications.

Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality automation code.

Mentor and coach QA engineers on test automation techniques and best practices.

Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to test automation and quality assurance in the financial domain.

Required Skills:

10+years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation in the financial domain.

Strong proficiency in core Java programming and Java development.

Extensive experience with Selenium for test automation.

Hands-on experience in API testing and familiarity with RESTful APIs.

Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for backend testing.

Experience with automation framework development and customization.

In-depth knowledge of financial industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins.

Knowledge of software development processes and Agile methodologies.

Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
