Job Title: Safety Manager
Location: Elko, NV
Hourly Rate: $30 - $50

My client is a general contractor based in Elko, NV who have been serving the area for over 40 years. We are looking for a safety manager with MSHA & OSHA experience to join their team. If that sounds like you, lets connect!

What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations in industrial, commercial, and mining construction settings.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risk levels, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide training to employees on safety protocols, equipment operation, and emergency procedures, emphasizing the importance of compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution, ensuring that safety is prioritized at every stage of construction.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and recommending preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, training documentation, and regulatory compliance records, to demonstrate adherence to OSHA and MSHA requirements.
• Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, proactively updating safety programs and procedures to reflect current standards and mitigate emerging risks.

Skills Required:

• In-depth knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and their application in industrial, commercial, and mining construction environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex situations, identify potential hazards, and develop practical solutions to mitigate risks.
• Detail-oriented approach to safety management, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve safety goals and objectives.
• Adaptability and resilience in the face of changing priorities and unexpected challenges, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment under diverse conditions.
