SUMMARY OF POSITION: Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant to join the Interventional Radiology department. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Radiology Physician Assistant (RPA) or next a Physician Assistant depending on experience. The candidate should be able to round on patients; evaluate, workup and consult inpatient and outpatient requests; and do basic Interventional Radiology Procedures (eg, LPs, paracentesis, thoracentesis, joint injections, evaluate/remove chest tubes, percutaneous drainage catheters, remove tunneled CVCs, etc.) and perform GI/GU fluoroscopy procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): - Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
- National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S): - Relevant experience preferred.
