What you're applying for

We're looking for a Motion Designer who is obsessed with design details and their impact, who possesses technical expertise in animation, motion graphics, and video production.

As a key part of our in-house Creative Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative motion design that elevates our brand marketing and transforms our products into engaging animations and videos. You'll work both independently and collaboratively, effectively communicating your concepts and translating initial briefs into polished designs.

What you'll do:
  • Conceptualize and create storyboards, animations, and gorgeous motion graphics for a range of brand marketing campaigns, on a variety of platforms, including social media and video content
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of creative concepts and ideas
  • Work with designers, illustrators, and copywriters to create stories through motion
  • Collaborate with designers to enhance and evolve our brand system through motion
  • Explore new techniques and tools to create compelling motion graphics
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure all motion graphics are optimized for different platforms and formats, including social media, digital advertising, video production, and more
What you'll need:
  • B.A. in Visual Communication, Animation, or a related field is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a motion graphics role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills and creativity
  • Passion for telling stories through motion, including storyboarding, editing footage, and motion graphics/animation
  • Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
  • Experience in 3D animation, a plus but not necessary
  • Ability to collaborate with creative counterparts of all disciplines to bring a vision to life, and a willingness to both take direction and offer constructive feedback
  • Demonstrable expertise in typography and understanding of brand design principles
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable presenting and framing creative ideas and directions, with strong written and oral English skills
  • Demonstrable expertise in typography and understanding of brand design principles
  • Ability to work in an office environment
  • Solid understanding of motion design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies to stay ahead of the curve

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000- $100,000 equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Speak to your recruiter to hear more about the specific salary range for your preferred location.
