About the Role: The Manufacturing Engineering team collaborates with design engineering to introduce digital point-to-point microwave systems. This includes building prototypes, delivering products at scale, and transferring product and process knowledge to contract manufacturing partners. The team is primarily responsible for developing manufacturing assembly and testing solutions for new products, as well as maintaining cost and quality effectiveness throughout the product life cycle. Additionally, the team ensures that Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles are incorporated into the initial product design.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, validates, and implements manufacturing processes at contract manufacturing sites.
  • Works closely with the development engineering team to ensure Design for Excellence (DFX) principles are incorporated into new product designs.
  • Defines and maintains manufacturing capacity to meet product planning targets.
  • Develops manufacturing strategies to achieve quality goals, including yield rates, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and return rates.
  • Continuously improves manufacturing processes to meet cost targets.
  • Collaborates with production sites to identify and incorporate their requirements into initial product design, manufacturing assembly, and test solutions.
  • Independently participates in engineering design reviews and drives the implementation of assembly and test methodologies throughout the product life cycle.
  • Actively provide solutions to address process deficiencies in production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering within a volume production environment.
  • Experience with RF radio is preferred.
  • Technical knowledge in statistical methods, Six Sigma quality improvement, process characterization, and SPC methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience with a focus on results.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
