We are looking for motivated, dependable, and dedicated Forensic Nurse that will provide medical care and support to victims of violence, abuse, or other crimes, while also collecting evidence that can be used in legal proceedings. The Forensic Nurse will work in the Competency Restoration Program. You will also prescribe, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.
Treating patients who have experienced trauma, violence, or domestic violence.
Documenting injuries, collecting samples, and taking photographs as needed.
Working with law enforcement and legal teams
Providing expert witness testimony in court cases.
Interviewing patients to obtain medical and forensic histories.
Conducting head-to-toe physical assessments, including internal exams
Helping mental health victims with violence or crimes
Your Experience Matters What were looking for:
Education & Licensure: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required and can produce a valid Illinois State RN license. Bachelors Degree preferred.
Experience: At least three years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
Additional Skill Requirements: Demonstrate exceptional crisis management and time management skills. Showcase your flexibility and creativity with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Exhibit a calm, organized, and professional demeanor even in stressful situations.

Compensation:
This is a full-time role, and the expected compensation range is $33.00 - $46.00 hourly with a $2,500.00 ++ Sign-on Bonus. Were eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Forensic Registered Nurse (RN).
