Position Title: Executive Functioning Coach

The Walker School is looking for an Executive Functioning Coach to empower our students with the skills they need to succeed, both academically and personally. This contract role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about guiding students through the art of organization, planning, and self-advocacy!
Why This Role Matters As our Executive Functioning Coach, you'll work closely with students in our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools, giving them the tools to manage their schedules, tackle their studies, and build essential life skills. Your expertise will support each student's unique learning journey, helping them thrive academically and become confident, independent learners.
What You'll Do - One-on-One Support: Provide personalized coaching for students identified by Learning Support in building organization, time management, and study skills.
- Collaborative Scheduling: Coordinate sessions with students, parents, and teachers to maximize impact.
- Hands-On Planning: Guide students in organizing their ideas and materials for assignments and projects.
- Test and Study Skills: Teach effective test-taking techniques and study habits to support academic success.
- Empower Self-Advocacy: Coach students in communication skills, helping them confidently advocate for their needs in the classroom.
- Tool Creation: Develop practical tools and plans, such as Google Calendar strategies and assistive tech like Read and Write for Google, tailored to each student's goals.
- Academic Support: Provide guidance in comprehension and written expression to enhance their academic performance.
What We're Looking For - Executive Function Coaching Experience: You've worked with students on organizational and planning skills, and you know how to help them shine.
- Bachelor's Degree Required: Ideally in special education or a related field.
- Preferred Skills: Executive Functioning designation and Structured Literacy training to provide exceptional support.
