Seeking a Data Analyst for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a global leader and manufacture of products & solutions custom designed to meet the needs of OEMs in the automotive, powersports, and other industries. This role will focus primarily on demand planning and forecasting in the Supply Chain/Materials Management Department.

 

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to navigate through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy 
  • Work closely with internal departments to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers 
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for internal stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
  • Define and implement data acquisition for various technology, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution 
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets 
  • Review data to verify validity, completeness, and accuracy
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources 
  • Identifies appropriate statistical tests to properly analyze data 
  • Compile reports, charts, or graphs that describe and interpret findings of analyses 
  • Communicate in a friendly, positive manner with customers by phone and/or email 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a challenging environment 
  • Forecasting customer demand, using a blend of quantitative data analysis and market intelligence to predict sales trends and inform inventory decisions
  • Work closely with internal departments to meet our customers’ needs 
  • Strong flexibility required as other duties may be assigned and work schedules may be changed to accommodate business needs

  • Qualifications and Education Requirements​
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in related role but not required 
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers
  • Ability to work within a team environment and on an individual basis 
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask with frequent interruptions 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Physical Requirements
  • Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential
  • Sitting for extended periods is common
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents 
  • Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, occasionally move about inside the office to access files or office equipment, operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, handheld devices, copy machine, and computer printer, and operate and monitor various medical equipment
  • Must be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks 
  • No heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 50 lbs of force occasionally required
  • Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, copiers, and fax machines
