We are seeking a skilled and experienced CPR Instructor to join our team at our Kendall, FL location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching life-saving skills, a strong background in BLS and CPR certifications, and prior experience developing and leading courses for students of varying levels. As an AHA Instructor, you will play a crucial role in helping others learn essential CPR and BLS skills. Your responsibilities will include delivering standardized curricula, closely working with students, providing coaching and feedback, validating skills practice sessions, and testing students to ensure competency. Your ability to connect with students and provide valuable guidance will directly impact their ability to save lives in emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering Standardized Curricula : Teach CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification courses using American Heart Association (AHA) approved materials and guidelines.
• Working Closely with Students : Foster a positive learning environment by guiding students through both theoretical and hands-on training.
• Providing Coaching and Feedback : Offer constructive feedback and individualized coaching to ensure students improve and develop their skills.
• Validating Skills Practice Sessions : Supervise and assess students during skills practice sessions to ensure they are performing procedures correctly and confidently.
• Testing Students and Providing Remediation : Administer knowledge and skills tests, provide remediation if necessary, and ensure that students meet the standards required for certification.
• Curriculum Development : Develop and implement effective and engaging lesson plans that meet AHA standards.
• Maintaining Training Equipment : Ensure that all training equipment and materials are in good working condition.
• Record Keeping : Accurately track student progress, certifications, and course materials.
• Stay Current : Keep up-to-date with changes in CPR and BLS guidelines, ensuring course content remains relevant and compliant.

Qualifications:

• Valid CPR and BLS Instructor certification (American Heart Association).
• Prior experience as a CPR instructor, including curriculum development and direct student engagement.
• Strong knowledge of CPR and BLS procedures for adults, children, and infants.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively teach and motivate students.
• Ability to assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement remediation plans when necessary.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
